Creative Ways to Announce the Gender of Your Baby
Here at Image Of A Miracle 4D Ultrasound Center, we get to rejoice with moms-to-be, couples and families on a daily basis! Finding out the gender of your baby is an exciting event. Some couples prefer to have just the two of them in the room when they find out, while other moms-to-be like to bring their whole family and their friends to join in the event.
After you find out if you’re having a boy or a girl, you may want to find a creative way to announce your baby’s gender to the world! We have put together a list of several different ways to make your announcement, as well as a Pinterest board with some amazingly creative ways to do it!
Gender Reveal Dinner:
Invite your family & friends over for dinner, or maybe just dessert, and use one of the creative reveal ideas to announce whether your baby is a boy or girl, such as cutting into a cake filled with pink or blue candies. This is a simple but personal way to make your announcement.
Gender Reveal Party:
If you want to go all out to announce your baby’s sex, consider throwing a gender reveal party! Complete with invitations, cake, decorations, and food, your friends and family will have a great time as you reveal your secret! Some people combine this gender reveal event with the baby shower, as an all-in-one party. But you may want to think twice about doing this, since the gifts will be gender neutral… 🙂 Most just specify that the gender reveal is a party/celebration, no gifts please, with a shower to come later.
Gender Reveal Announcement Cards:
If you want a little less effort for your announcement, you may want to send out personalized announcement cards to your friends and family. Our Pinterest board has lots of examples of gender reveal cards, from simple to elaborate. One of our favorites is the “Scratch-Off” card!
Make A Video:
There are so many ideas for gender reveal videos. If you have found out the sex of your baby, but your significant other doesn’t know, you might want to make a video of his reaction as he finds out, then share with family and friends! Some couples make a video as they open a box filled with either pink or blue helium balloons. Others record the reactions of grandparents. Another great idea for a video is to record your Gender Determination ultrasound as you find out the sex of your baby, and then share with friends and family via Youtube, Facebook, etc.
